The Crossings is a one of the newest neighbourhoods in West Lethbridge. Much of it is still under construction, but it is already taking shape as the commercial hub of West Lethbridge. It will also be heavily influenced by multi-family residences, many of which are under construction or have already been built.
Amenities: Amenities include a variety of dining, shopping, retail, and commercial offices, as well as proximity to the Crossings Leisure Complex — which include an ice rink complex and a future leisure centre — the Crossings branch of the public library, and the Westside high schools.
One bus covers the neighbourhood, offering direct access to the University of Lethbridge transit terminal. Because it is situated on Whoop Up Drive, access to other parts of the Westside, as well as the Southside, is relatively convenient by car.
Churches: There are no churches in the neighbourhood, but the LDS church is in nearby Copperwood, and Baptist and Catholic congregations are in Indian Battle Heights.
Schools: There are no elementary schools in The Crossings neighbourhood, but one will open in Copperwood for the 2017–2018 school year. G. S. Lakie Middle School is within walking distance. Chinook High School and Catholic Central are the only high schools on the Westside and are located in the middle of the neighbourhood.
