Southridge is a small, fairly new community on the southern outskirts of the city. It’s exclusively single-family residences, with little traffic. Homes sit on large lots and come in all shapes and sizes.
Amenities: There aren’t any commercial amenities in Southridge, but like Prairie Arbour Estates across the highway, it’s a short drive to big box developments at the south end of Lethbridge. The neighbourhood is within walking distance from the Lethbridge Airport business park, so would be a great place to live for those who work there or who fly a lot.
Southridge Park is the only park in the neighbourhood, but the homes back onto Six Mile Coulee, providing additional recreational opportunities.
There is no bus service in the community, but being situated on Highway 5 provides easy access for residents to the rest of the city (via Mayor Magrath Drive) and to points south (such as Waterton or Cardston).
Schools: There are no schools in Southridge, but the drive to Agnes Davidson, the nearest elementary school, is only 5–10 minutes. An elementary school planned for South Gate will be even closer. Lethbridge College is also a short drive away, and is actually a nice walk through the coulees in the summer.
