You can’t control everything that comes at you all day. In fact, you probably can’t control most things that come at you. Much of what happens in our life is way, way beyond our control. Routines, however, allow us to both control our environment and how we feel and behave within it. In turn, we can react more effectively to that which we cannot control.
Set aside the pressure of ‘success habits’ and instead build daily routines into your life. From there, you can set the stage to make better decisions and have more impact.
Little routines that enable me to be more effective in an often-chaotic world:
- bookending the day
- controlling my environment
- creating touchstones
- and yes… coffee!
