Most people buy or sell a home maybe once every 5 or 10 years. So it’s understandable that fear of the unknown can keep you stuck in inertia when deciding to put your home on the Lethbridge market. Fortunately, I can cure one big, common fear quickly, right here. The most common fear I hear from homeowners goes something like this:
“What if I get a terrible offer?”
Answer: as the homeowner, you hold the pen. That, nothing happens until you and the buyer agree to every single line of that purchase agreement, in writing, with appropriate signatures. Every term and condition on an offer – including price – is negotiable. Therefore, as your REALTOR®, my job during a negotiation is twofold:
1) Get you the best terms, conditions and price possible.
2) Ensure you understand your choices and implications that come with each one.
