Legacy Ridge is a fairly new community. While a significant portion of it has been built, there is still great opportunity to build a brand new home to your liking. A wide variety of housing types and densities exist in the community.
Amenities: Although Legacy Ridge has some property zoned as commercial, only residential property has been built up so far. That being said, access to retail centres anchored by Sobeys and Walmart is quick and convenient via 26 Avenue South, and Scenic Drive, and Stafford Boulevard connect residents to commercial centres further south.
There are two parks in the community, one of which has a small lake, and a third planned for the future. The neighbourhood has easy access to Peenaquim Park and Alexander Wilderness Park in the river bottom, and Pavan Park is only a short drive away. In addition, the planned Northside Regional Park will be across the street from Legacy Ridge.
Only one bus travels through Legacy Ridge, but the Northside transit terminal is across the street, reducing the number of transfers you’ll need to travel elsewhere in the city. Scenic Drive provides easy access to Crowsnest Trail, which is only a 5 minute drive from the neighbourhood.
Schools: There are no schools in the Legacy Ridge, but one is planned for the future. The nearest elementary school is Park Meadows which is within walking distance. Middle and high school students can also walk to school to Wilson and Winston Churchill.
