We live in a drive-thru world. Food is eaten on the run, in your car, fast and cheap. Taste and quality are a distant second to convenience.
Unless you’re craving sushi. In Lethbridge.
I can get the best spicy tuna roll this side of the rockies (okay, it seems like it to me) for under $6, and I only have to get out of my car for a few minutes. Or I can make a date with someone and stay for the lunch hour. Either way, the sushi at the Lighthouse on 3rd Avenue South is savory, fresh, and does go well with a bowl of miso soup or some seaweed salad (which tastes better than it sounds, really).
The dining atmosphere at the Lighthouse is casual but the service is very good. If you show up when the doors open at 11:30 during the week you won’t have to wait in line. And if you do have to wait, it isn’t for long. Though it’s absolutely worth it.
