Fairmont is a unique, relatively new community in Lethbridge offering a variety of residential styles and densities with a sizeable manmade lake at its centre. While homes in the neighbourhood are primarily single-family homes, about 20% are medium density.
Amenities: Fairmont has two parks. Fairmont Park, the largest of the two, is what the community is built around and includes a lake with a boat launch for non-motorized vessels.
Commercial amenities are available through developments along Mayor Magrath Drive and Highway 4, as well as in the Fairway Plaza complex.
Only one bus travels through the Fairmont neighbourhood, but a second route passes by the community along Mayor Magrath Drive. Both routes provide service to the Lethbridge College transit terminal and the downtown terminal. The community borders on Highway 4, and nearby Mayor Magrath Drive provides quick access to Highway 5.
Schools: There are no schools in the neighbourhood, but Agnes Davidson is a short drive away, and another school is planned for nearby Southgate. Fairmont is within walking distance from Lethbridge College.
