Bungalows and two-storey homes dominate this mature south Lethbridge community, some of which have been around since the 1930s. While there are a few duplexes and fourplexes scattered throughout Agnes Davidson, it is primarily a single-family neighbourhood.
Amenities: Because the community’s eastern edge is Mayor Magrath Drive, there are a variety of shopping and services within walking distance. Chinook Regional Hospital, St. Michael’s Health Centre and a fire hall are also nearby. Neighbourhood parks include Lion’s Centennial Park, the 20 Avenue Greenstrip, and Ravine Park. Ravine Park is affectionately known as the “Sugar Bowl” because of its resemblance to a bowl of sugar in the winter time. It’s a popular sledding spot in the city; it’s not uncommon to spot large crowds of people there as you head down Scenic Drive.
With four bus routes throughout the community, Agnes Davidson has reliable transit service. Plus it offers easy access to major roads: Scenic Drive, Mayor Magrath Drive, and Highways 4 and 5.
Churches: Baptist, United, Seventh Day Adventist, LDS, Mennonite, and Catholic
Schools: Agnes Davidson, a French immersion elementary school and Our Lady of Assumption, a Catholic elementary school are the neighbourhood’s only schools. However, Gilbert Patterson Middle School is across the street, and the high schools are a short bike or car ride away. Lethbridge College is within walking distance of the community, perfect for students living off campus.
