Mayor Chris Spearman shot this short video of the Oldman River in Lethbridge… at 6am this morning. I’m not too proud a prairie girl to say that no, I wasn’t even awake yet. 😉
Two things I must briefly point out before you take in the view for yourself:
1) The Oldman River slices right through Lethbridge, accentuated by the longest high level rail bridge of its kind in the world. I know many folks say the prairies are no match for the rustic beauty of the rocky mountains to the west, but I disagree! The City of Lethbridge is one of the most beautiful places in western Canada to live, work, and play. That’s not just my (biased) opinion but one I hear from many who come here from other places.
2) I admit that I don’t always follow local politics as closely I should (and I am very politically minded…sssh!). However, no matter which way you lean politically, one thing is true about Mayor Chris Spearman: he is engaged with his constituents, and not just because he wants the photo opp either. I think he genuinely wants to support and nurture the growth and prosperity of Lethbridge. Hat tip to Mr. Spearman for that!
Enjoy…
