My enthusiasm for the immeasurable and measurable benefits of living in the windy city called Lethbridge is unending. As both a real estate agent and 20-year citizen, I’m delighted by the opportunity to convince anyone that tolerating “a little wind now and then” is a meagre price to pay for living here.
But just when I thought I had the last word on “Why Lethbridge,” someone found a way to convey the sense of place I feel here that even I could not put into words.
I don’t mind saying that when I watched Brad’s video this morning, I choked up a little…
Growing up in small town Magrath encouraged a spirit of wonder and adventure. I spent countless hours with friends as a kid swashbuckling skeleton pirates on the raging waters of the Pothole Creek and saving the town from an army of advancing ninjas.
Now that I am an adult, life tries its best to make life seem monotonous. Being overworked, complaining about the weather, always wishing for the change of seasons, and always hoping for greener grass on the other side become common place. I made the video to let others see Lethbridge and area the same way I do. It is still full of childlike wonder. The grass is greener where you water it.
