I’m growing tired–and a tad offended–from this “live out loud” message being smeared all over the Internet by Pinterest moms and coaches and self-titled experts on various “success” topics.
Millions of quiet, thoughtful people do great things and live meaningful lives every day on this planet. They don’t realize a “single great purpose.” Nor do they constantly “seize the moment” or squeeze every iota of joy and amazement out of of each molecule of air they breathe. They also don’t feel the need to
seek validation for brag about every “win.”
In order to be successful, I see no compelling reason to “do what scares me most” or “get out of my comfort zone.” In fact, being 100% MYSELF is both comfy AND effective for me, in business and in life. So I plan to remain in THAT *zone* for a very long time.
Your “success” in life only comes down to this:
Do what feels right for YOU, be generous with the gifts you have, and live a principled life. If you get THAT figured out, you’re rockin’ it. And you certainly don’t need a cute quotation–or a guru–to make it happen.
