Glendale is a mature community on the eastern edge of south Lethbridge. It offers an eclectic mix of architectural styles and densities, and the ages of the homes vary. Several homes have views of scenic Henderson Lake, the largest lake in the city.
Amenities: Henderson Park, Lethbridge’s largest regional park, is the neighbourhood’s only park. Spitz Stadium is in Glendale, as are the Henderson Ice Centre, the SLP Skate Park, and Exhibition Park.
Most business amenities in Glendale are along Mayor Magrath Drive and off Crowsnest Trail. The neighbourhood is within walking distance of the W.T. Hill Business Park and a short drive away from the Anderson Industrial Park.
One bus route services the community, but a second route is easily accessible along Mayor Magrath Drive. Because Glendale is near Crowsnest Trail and Mayor Magrath Drive (and a short distance from 43 Street), highway access is a breeze.
Schools: General Stewart Elementary is the only school in the neighbourhood, but Catholic Central, Victoria Park, and LCI high schools are within walking distance, as are Catholic elementary and middle schools and a Francophone school.
