Country Meadows is a budding Westside community that nods to the early settler history of Lethbridge. Once completed, this distinctive neighbourhood will feature timber and fieldstone throughout. It’ll contain primarily single family residential, but there will be some multi-family residences for those looking for townhomes, condos, and the like.
Amenities: There won’t be any commercial services in Country Meadows, but it’s a short drive or bike ride to West Lethbridge Towne Centre and West Highlands Towne Centre, which have a variety of retail opportunities. It is also within driving distance to The Crossings, a brand new 66-acre commercial and retail development.
Once built, four planned parks and several greenstrips will encourage a mobile, active, and peaceful lifestyle. The Crossings branch of the Lethbridge Public Library is a brief drive from the neighbourhood.
There’s no bus service in Country Meadows, but busses travel to the nearby neighbourhoods of West Highlands and Garry Station. Walsh Drive provides reasonably easy access to Highway 3 and Whoop Up Drive via University Drive.
Schools: There are no schools in Country Meadows, but an elementary school is planned for the community. Coalbanks Elementary School will open in 2017 south of the community in the Copperwood neighbourhood. G.S. Lakie Middle School, Chinook High School, and Catholic Central High School are all within driving and cycling distance.
